Hello!
Welcome to my little space on the internet .. just one of a billion personal blogs … somewhere for me to rave about what’s on my mind, discuss new technology, and perhaps offer the odd hard earned solution to a problem that might help some poor sod who’s about to go through what I just have!
I’m a graduate of The University of Edinburgh in Electrical Engineering, and have worked in the IT industry for over 8 years. I am Technical Director at a small IT Company – Lakeland Computer Consultancy Services Ltd. A member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology , I’m particularly interested in IT systems, networking and general technical gadgetry!
I live in rural Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland – married to Glenda with a young daughter called Erin. Thanks for visiting the blog. I hope you find it useful.

I’m scared to comment! I might lower the tone
Wow….gonna just head out to the shops n get one of those laptops….! I’m glad you have pictures on your blog too!! haha…..
liked the managers bit…..was that for me?!
Oh well. I suppose dodgy comments are better than no comments at all ! At least someone is reading this wibble ….
Pretty damn good blogg I’d say. What do I know I’m only a techie at heart too. Good advice and a mature insight on fairly young shoulders…. Well you are getting on let’s face it.
Well Done. I like it.
Hi Iain,
I couldn’t find any contact details so I’m writing here – hope that’s ok!
I noticed you blogged about Skyscanner.net recently, so was just letting you know about our new Skyscanner Map Widget and Map API tool that we’ve just launched.
Both are interactive flash maps that you can install for free, which allows you to integrate Skyscanner route info into your own website or desktop.
You can read more or download the API here: http://api.skyscanner.net/api/ajax/maps/introduction.html
For the widget: see here: http://eco.netvibes.com/widgets/295245/cheap-flights-route-map-skyscanner
We’d love to hear any feedback or questions about the new tools, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
cheers
Sam
